Arche Grotesk

This monoline sans family has been designed for everyday use (this website uses the medium cut). Initially created as a derivative of Berthold Akzidenz Grotesk, in metal originals in its text sizes, it has been fully drawn and spaced for optimal legibility on screens and in print. Special attention to lowercase letters and diacritics ensures its performance in complex texts. The capitals retain their “old-fashioned” look with slightly exaggerated proportions (widths, heights).

This working horse sans, based on Akzidenz, with friendly touches and designed to work in continuous reading conditions. Its 10 weights include italics, character variants and small caps.  As a designer of books and graphic identities, I have had the opportunity to test it in offset printing during the 3 years of development.
